Never Say You’re Sorry – To Americans

I guess we’re still at war in Afghanistan. We must be if we’re flying sorties and striking targets from the air. So with that said, one must therefore agree that in war things don’t always go as planned, be it a ground offensive, an air campaign, or a combination of the two.

Mistakes will be made. Targets will be missed. Collateral damage to people and property will occur. Of course it’s regrettable, but no one is perfect, not even our military.
So why is it that our dear president is so quick to apologize for the mistaken bombing of a hospital in Kunduz Afghanistan? Yes, it was a tragedy and yes we should feel terrible for the error, but as I stated, this is war, is it not? And in wars, these types of things are going to happen.
And Obama was not just quick to apologize for the actions ofAmerica, but has offered reparations, or “condolence payments,” to the families of the victims as well as to rebuild the building.
But as I think about it, I really shouldn’t be surprised by this behavior. This is Obama and the Democrats MO. He has always been quick to offer apologies for the “evils” America has perpetrated on the rest of the world, as he demonstrated in his worldwide apology tour early in his presidency. And, as we know, he doesn’t just limit his apologies to current events, as he’s ventured back to the years of slavery and the Crusades.
Yet, when it comes to Americans, like the four heroes in Benghazi, ruthlessly slain trying to save the ambassador and others, no one in this administration can be bothered even to tell us the truth, much less apologize or offer “condolence payments” to the their families.
Yet, “The Department of Defense believes it is important to address the consequences of the tragic incident at the Doctors without Borders hospital in Kunduz, Afghanistan,” spokesman Peter Cook said in a statement, adding that the United States would also pay to repair the charity hospital.
And Secretary of Defense, Ash Carter added that, “the U.S. military takes the greatest care in our operations to prevent the loss of innocent life, and when we make mistakes, we own up to them. That’s exactly what we’re going to do right now.”
So I guess it’s just Democrat policy only to apologize, and pay reparations to foreign authorities and foreign facilities. Heck, even when this administration says they won’t apologize for something, they do, which happened in 2013.
The Obama administration publicly stated that it would not apologize to Afghans for mistakes it made during the war – yet they turned right around and secretly attached an apology to a United States-Afghan security agreement containing a “reassurance” that US troops have mistakenly killed Afghan civilians in the war.
But as was the case in Benghazi, I also don’t recall any apologies or voluntary payments made to those at Ruby Ridge or the Branch Davidian compound in Waco. I don’t remember Clinton ever apologizing for those two incidents, other than to blame Janet Reno, or the families collecting one dime – voluntarily.
So it appears that being a Democrat means never having to say you’re sorry – to Americans!
