Alligators Can Be Big Or Small, But What Workers Pulled Out Of A Storm Drain Is Just Insane

This single-handedly convinced me to stay out of Florida for good. There is no amount of convincing that can be done that will ever make me okay with being in the same state as a monster this size. That thing can have Florida, I’m good with the other 49 states.

You never know what could be rotting away in your pipes.

The Department of Transportation never expected to find a dead 11-foot alligator caught in a drain in Fort Meyers, Fla., on Monday.

“This is an abnormally large gator,” Randy Cerchie, the director of the county’s DOT, told the Fort Meyers News-Press

“It’s just part of what we do,” Cerchie said.

The DOT got a hold of the gator and disposed of it, but not before snapping a photo of the beast.

Betsy Clayton, the public information officer for Lee County, said the DOT was notified of a bad smell in the area after getting a call from the Lee County Sheriff’s Office.

“About twice a year we get calls for gators,” Clayton told the Fort Meyers News-Press. Clayton said they usually don’t see gators that size.

“Our pipes are not that big,” Clayton said.

What is going ON, Florida?? Why do you have dinosaurs in your towns??
