Mother of Stanford’s Rapist Swimmer says he doesn’t deserve jail

The mother of Stanford student, Brock Allen Turner, does not think the rapist swimmer deserves jail time. Brock Turner’s Mother thinks he will suffer enough for being listed as a top tier sex offender. The majority of people disagree with this and want his jail sentence to be extended. His mother’s four-page letter explains in more detail why.

Brock Turner Moms letter

From the Fresno Bee:

Turner’s mother, Carleen Turner, wrote a letter nearly four pages long and doesn’t mention the victim of the sexual assault once. Instead, she talks about her son’s childhood, how he asked a high school girlfriend to prom and his swimming and academic career for two pages. She then talks about how devastated she and her family has been since the weekend in January when Turner sexually assaulted a 23-year-old woman.

“My first thought upon wakening every morning is ‘this isn’t real, this can’t be real. Why him? Why HIM? WHY? WHY?’ ” Carleen Turner wrote. “I have cried every single day since Jan. 18.”

It’s not unusual for a mother to defend her son when he strikes a nerve and does something wrong. But this is rape, not stealing from the dollar store.

Is a mother’s protection different when her son rapes an unconscious woman behind a dumpster?

Is she delusional? Or did it not sink in that her son is a convicted rapist?
