BREAKING: Sen. Rand Paul Makes it Official, Files to Run for President

He’s been “exploring” the idea for well over a year, now, but Kentucky Senator Rand Paul has at last made it official: he’s running for president.

A filing with the Federal Elections Commission shows that team Paul is now officially in the hunt for the 2016 nomination.

Reuters news service recently reported that Rand intends to make his announcement on April 7, but with the news that his filing has already occurred, well, his announcement is a foregone conclusion.

Of course, it is true that something could make him put on the brakes and dump the campaign, but this is the best proof yet that Rand Paul is entirely serious about running for the GOP nomination for president.
