Franklin Graham Launches Nationwide Tour Calling Christians to Get Involved in 2016 Election [Video]

Next year, Franklin Graham will embark on the Decision America Tour and will visit all 50 states. He will be urging Christians to pray, vote and get involved in the 2016 election, which is possibly the most important election in the history of our nation. Graham states that “our country is in trouble” and “without God there is no hope.” That’s exactly right. Whatever your faith or your political leanings are, now is the time to turn to God and beseech his guidance and forgiveness. The tour will begin in January and you will see people praying as you have never seen before in capitols and other cities throughout the nation. Christians will be speaking with one voice and calling for the reinstatement of the Constitution and founding principles.

“Our country is in trouble,” Graham said in the video posted on the website announcing the “Decision America Tour,” which will stage prayer rallies in the capitol city of all 50 states next year.

“Many people look at capitols like this — whether it’s Washington, whether it’s state level – they’re looking for answers to the problems that they have in life, but I can tell you right now without God there’s no hope,” said Graham, who is president and CEO of his father’s Billy Graham Evangelistic Association and the international Christian relief organization, Samaritan’s Purse.

“We’re asking people to pray, to vote for biblical principles and to engage in your community by living and sharing your faith,” Graham said in the video.

“I believe this next election may be the most important election maybe in the history of our nation,” he said, noting that Christians who engage and vote can have an “impact” on the results of that election.

Graham said that the campaign is not endorsing any particular candidate or supporting any political party.

“We’re going to pray for our nation, and I’m going to encourage Christians to stand up and let their voice be heard,” Graham said.

The seven locations announced so far are:

Des Moines, Iowa – January 5
Tallahassee, Florida – January 12
Baton Rouge, Louisiana – January 13
Concord, New Hampshire – January 19
Columbia, South Carolina – February 9
Atlanta, Georgia – February 10
Honolulu, Hawaii – February 24

At every location, Graham will hold a prayer rally calling for Americans and our nation to turn back to God. “I think the problem with our nation today is the failure of the Church,” Franklin Graham said. “We have gotten ourselves into a mess as a country,” he added, and said there’s only one source of hope. “I don’t have hope in the Republican party or the Democratic party. The only hope that I have is in the Church if it would repent of its sins,” he said. “And if we confess our sins individually and then repent, then I believe God … can use us.” Christians are being asked not only to pray for their country, but vote for those that hold biblical beliefs and values. No candidates will be endorsed, but it will be obvious which ones stand for God and the Constitution. Ted Cruz comes to mind. “God hears the prayers of his people, so I’m calling on people of faith in every state to pray fervently for America and our leaders,” Franklin Graham posted on Facebook Tuesday. “I want to challenge Christians across our land to boldly live out and promote biblical principles at home, in public and at the ballot box. The only hope for this country is if the people of God are willing to take a stand for truth and righteousness.” Moral decline is all around us, but it is not too late to save our country and our way of life. “We need to go back to where the Church is in the center of this nation,” he said. “And God just might use the Church to turn this country around.” I think this is exactly what America needs and it heartens me that this tour will be taking place. God is our only hope.
