HAPPENING NOW: Bill Cosby is Charged with Aggravated Assault, Faces Jail Time

Things just got much, much worse for Bill Cosby. He’s being charged in the July 2004 sexual assault of a woman identified as Andrea Constand. There is a 12 year statute of limitations in play here. They are looking for anything recent enough that they can hold against Cosby. Looks like they found it. I didn’t think they would be able to, but they are going to take the man down. He may be forced to have his long time wife divorce him and distance herself in order to save anything at all he has worked his whole life for. If true, this woman knowingly took drugs from Cosby at his home and then he assaulted her. Cosby has admitted to having sexual relations with the woman.

Things just got a lot rougher for Bill Cosby as an arrest warrant has been issued for the legendary comedian.

“Upon examination of all of the evidence, today we are able to seek justice on behalf of Mr. Cosby’s victim,” incoming Montgomery County District Attorney Kevin Steele said Wednesday at a news conference.

The charge is a felony in the first degree and Cosby is expected to be arraigned later Wednesday afternoon for the July 2004 sexual assault of the woman identified as Andrea Constand.

“The charges today are filed as a result of new information that came to light in July of 2015. The statute of limitations in this type of case is 12 years. After determining that the statute of limitations regarding potential criminal offenses had not yet expired, the investigation was reopened,” Steele said.

Bill Cosby could get 10 years for these charges. That is a death sentence at his age. They would also try and take everything he owns. I hope Cosby’s attorney is really good. He’ll need it. In a deposition, Cosby said he put his hands down Constand’s pants that night and fondled her, taking her silence as a green light. Constand maintains she was semi-conscious after he gave her pills he said would relax her. Her lawyer has said Constand is gay and was dating a woman around the time she met Cosby in the early 2000’s. Cosby is expected to be arraigned on the charge this afternoon in Elkins Park, PA. A previous district attorney declined to charge Cosby in 2005 in this case. What a sad ending to what should have been a famous legacy. Looks like his sins are finally knocking on his door and he’ll have to answer for them.
