Looks like Bruce “Caitlyn” Jenner is going to get away with his reckless driving that killed a woman last year as authorities have said they won’t prosecute him for murder for the accident that killed 69-year-old Kim Howe.
A report by TMZ finds that authorities have decided that Jenner’s actions were “negligent” instead of criminal, so he won’t be charged with manslaughter.
Prosecutors had been trying to determine whether they would charge Jenner with misdemeanour manslaughter for her role in the crash but, according to TMZ, she will now not face being charged with vehicular manslaughter.
The site claims to have information from ‘well-placed sources’ in the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s office that state those reviewing the case have decided her actions were negligent, rather than criminal.
It’s also claimed that those in the know within the case are relying on the – LA County Sheriff’s Department – who came to the same decision – but that the District Attorney, Jackie Lacey, could ignore these conclusions and decide to take the TV star to court regardless.
However, it’s thought that such a ruling would be highly unlikely.
This was likely a political decision. If this was a regular citizen, the finding would surely have been that the actions were criminal and murder charges would have been charged.
