What an NFL Superstar Did in Chattanooga this Weekend Makes Him a ‘Class Act’

Now, that’s inspirational. Peyton Manning went home to Tennessee Saturday night to help and grieve with the people of Chattanooga over the horrific murders of four Marines and a Naval officer by a radical Islamist. Manning spent time with military personnel and police officers at the reserve center where the tragedy occurred. Pictures were posted on Facebook of Manning with police officers as well. Unlike Obama, Manning’s caring is genuine and deep. This indeed, was a classy move on Peyton Manning’s part and shows that he has a good heart and loves the people of Tennessee and the military.

From TheBlaze:

Superstar NFL quarterback Peyton Manning showed up late Saturday night at the Navy & Marine Corps Reserve Center in Chattanooga, Tennessee, WRCB-TV reported, citing multiple sources.

The facility is one of two locations where U.S. service members were fatally shot Thursday.

Manning — who starred at the University of Tennessee before his legendary NFL career began — spent time with military personnel and police officers at the reserve center, WRCB reported.

After his visit, Chattanooga Police posted a photo on social media with the message, “Thank you for stopping by and for your support Peyton Manning.”

Peyton Manning

Dozens of commenters on the police’s Facebook page called Manning a “class act” for taking the time with our fellow citizens in uniform.

Manning didn’t call attention to himself or go out of his way for a photo-op. The difference between a true leader like Manning and Obama is night and day. Many commenters on the Police Facebook page are pointing out that Manning is more of an American than Obama is by his actions. Damned straight. The sorrow in Peyton Manning’s eyes couldn’t be faked either. He is truly mourning the death of those Tennessee warriors. This is the kind of role model we need in America today. Someone who truly cares, has a spine, integrity and character. Manning is the very definition of American exceptionalism. He brought some healing and caring to a battered Tennessee and our military – bless him for it and for being the man he is.
