Sarah Palin Slams ESPN as ‘Journalistic Embarrassment’ After it Censures Curt Schilling for Muslim Tweet

Earlier this week baseball star Curt Schilling tweeted out that a tiny minority of radical Muslims are causing much of the world’s problems right now. But the PC morons at ESPN went over board calling Schilling a racist and suspending him from the air. Now Sarah Palin is calling ESPN a “journalistic embarrassment.” She is 100% right.

Former Boston Red Sox pitching great Curt Schilling, a fan favorite not just for his exploits on the field but also for his “tee it high and let it fly” style on TV, took to Twitter to share an infographic about what a small minority of dedicated fanatics can do at the head of a large population of people…

ESPN lost its tiny, liberal mind over the Tweet and suspended Schilling for it, forcing him to apologize.

Now Palin has come out swinging against ESPN for suspending Schilling for his completely accurate message.

Sarah Palin ripped ESPN as “a journalistic embarrassment,” following the network’s suspension of baseball analyst Curt Schilling for a tweet that compared radical Muslims to Nazis.

“ESPN — what happened to you? Your intolerant PC police are running amok and making a joke out of you!” the former Alaska governor wrote in a Facebook post Thursday night. “By picking and choosing who they’ll tolerate and who they’ll try to destroy, ESPN has zero credibility as a sound and reasonable media outlet.”

Her comments come after ESPN suspended Mr. Schilling for what it called a “completely unacceptable” tweet, which contained a meme that read: “It’s said only 5-10% of Muslims are extremists. In 1940, only 7% of Germans were Nazis. How’d that go?”

Mrs. Palin argued that Mr. Schilling’s tweet was accurate, and actually “too generous in estimating Muslims’ attitudes.”

“Reports show it’s 88% of Egyptian Muslims favoring DEATH for anyone who leaves Islam. The majority of Muslims in many other places share the sentiment. In America, these views could be correctly described as ‘extreme,’” she wrote. “The difference between Hitler’s army and the genocidal maniacs of ISIS is that the jihadists don’t have as much power … yet.

“By denying the accuracy of Schilling’s tweet, ESPN shows its weakness as it buys into the propaganda of ISIS and other terror organizations, helping mislead the public about the very real threat of terrorism,” she continued. “It shows once again that ESPN would rather concentrate on liberal global politics instead of report well on our beloved sports.”

Right on, Sarah!
