‘They Took Their Country Back;’ ‘We will Take America Back. No Games!’ – Guess Who Said This Today…

The #Brexit vote is in and liberals are beside themselves. Britons rejected globalism and the rabid multiculturalism that is destroying much of Europe and despite their predictions, the left is freaking out. Donald Trump, however, is gloating and sees the victory as a good omen for his chances in November:

From Breitbart:

Presumptive Republican nominee Donald Trump says, “They took their country back,” following the results of the Brexit vote where UK voters decided to leave the European Union.

He also foreshadowed the American general election vote, suggesting Americans will do the same.

Trump also released a formal statement in addition to his post on Twitter.

The people of the United Kingdom have exercised the sacred right of all free peoples. They have declared their independence from the European Union, and have voted to reassert control over their own politics, borders and economy. A Trump Administration pledges to strengthen our ties with a free and independent Britain, deepening our bonds in commerce, culture and mutual defense. The whole world is more peaceful and stable when our two countries – and our two peoples – are united together, as they will be under a Trump Administration.

Come November, the American people will have the chance to re-declare their independence. Americans will have a chance to vote for trade, immigration and foreign policies that put our citizens first. They will have the chance to reject today’s rule by the global elite, and to embrace real change that delivers a government of, by and for the people. I hope America is watching, it will soon be time to believe in America again.

Trump had previously said if he was British, he would “be more inclined to leave [the EU], for a lot of reasons, like having a lot less bureaucracy.”

Voters who wanted to leave the EU suggested they wanted independence from EU regulations and to close borders to stop the free flow of immigration — similar to issues which are present in the United States especially in light of terrorism and the increasing number of refugees from countries impacted by terrorism.

Although the UK voted to leave the EU by roughly 52 percent, Scotland voted to remain. Trump is visiting Turnberry, Scotland on Friday and is expected to deliver a press conference and weigh in on the Brexit results.

In truth, I have serious qualms with Trump’s evident lack of understanding of the Constitution.

However, on a cultural level, he plays an important role as he is furthering a conversation that is much needed in America.

We must reject globalism and intermingled national powers. We also must reject open borders and liberal travel policies.

The UK got it right; now it’s time for America.
