America has progressed just a little closer to the ultimate safety we will enjoy when utopia has been achieved, thanks to Apple replacing a pistol emoji with a squirt gun emoji:
New emoji icons … will be included as part of a new beta version of iOS for iPhones and iPads.
But as part of the latest update, Apple actually removed an emoji. Apple has replaced the handgun emoji with a bright green icon that looks like a classic Super Soaker water pistol.
This appears to be an Apple decision to change its icon — not a decision by Unicode, the body that writes the standards for computer characters, including emoji.
Liberals evidently found the emoji on the right frightening:
The pushy moonbats at Apple also managed to nix a proposed rifle emoji that they did not want included among other icons to commemorate the Summer Olympics.
Even the squirt gun might be a little too menacing. If you’ve seen The Wizard of Oz, you know that water is dangerous to some people:
