Dem Rep Raul Grijalva Calls for Boycott of His Own State

Nothing could be more profoundly self-destructive than moonbattery, as shockingly demonstrated by Arizona Congresscrumb Raul Grijalva, who wants the rest of the country to boycott his own state to punish it for trying to do something about the illegal immigration crisis.

An Arizona congressman urged businesses on Tuesday to boycott his state if the governor signs into law a bill to make illegal immigration a state offense.

Rep. Raul Grijalva, a Democrat, said businesses need to punish the state if the bill becomes law as a way of making sure no other states follow suit.

“Do not do business with the state,” Mr. Grijalva said at a press conference on the Capitol grounds in Washington.

Arizona’s economy is already in the tank, thanks to unsustainable spending (initiated by the hapless dork now heading the DHS), and the collapse of the housing market (initiated by liberals forcing banks to make bad loans based on race). But Democrats could never cause enough damage to make them rest on their laurels and give us a chance to recover.

Meanwhile, Rasmussen reports on how the public feels about the law Grijalva wants us punished for:

A new Rasmussen Reports telephone survey finds that 70% of likely voters in Arizona approve of the legislation, while just 23% oppose it.

I guess screeching the term “racial profiling” over and over again on the local news isn’t as persuasive as our treasonous liberal overlords had hoped.

Further bad news for Grijalva — and for Lettuce McCain:

Eighty-three percent (83%) of Arizona voters say a candidate’s position on immigration is an important factor in how they will vote…

Arizona is doomed if something is not done to stop its colonization by Mexico’s criminal class, and by now everyone knows that the quislings running the federal government are on the reconquistadors’ side. We also know that McStain’s deathbed conversion to border security is as phony as BHO’s smile. Go J.D. Hayworth, who is running against McMaverick in the primary. Whether there’s any hope in Grijalva’s 7th District remains to be seen; demographically, it has already become essentially an extension of Mexico.
