There are few things so destructive to a republic as the confirmation that there exists a set of rules for one group of politically-connected elites and a set of rules for others. The fact that the Obama DOJ has refused to pursue charges against Hillary Clinton for her wanton disregard for national security has shocked many Americans, including bulldog former prosecutor-turned-congressman Trey Gowdy. When given the chance to confront Attorney General Loretta Lynch on her political motivations to avoid charging Clinton, Gowdy pounced and his inquest is satisfying to witness.

Loretta Lynch appeared before Congress today and was, as with all Obama officials, recalcitrant, uncooperative, and utterly dismissive of the House and their authority. But she still had to answer their questions.

And nobody poses better questions than Rep. Trey Gowdy, who utterly destroyed the entire Hillary narrative in this crushing exchange.

“Why?”

Exactly.

“It’s not just a personal preference, is it?”

Correct, it is not. This is what Hillary should have known. Did know. They all know she knew. We all know they know she knew. But they are letting her get away with it. For partisan purposes.

Absurd.

The most upsetting aspect of this sad chapter is the fact that nobody is even trying to deny that Clinton broke the law. The evidence is a slam-dunk.

Instead, America’s supposed justice officials just simply don’t care that Hillary broke the law.

To put our complacency in perspective: over two hundred years ago, an out-of-touch government placed a modest tax on our breakfast beverage and we flipped-out and picked up muskets.
