What a vile human being Joss Whedon has become. And it pains me to say it because I love Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Angel and Firefly. But I cannot stand Joss Whedon. He’s known as of late for his viciousness on Twitter with conservatives, but he’s hit a whole new low here. Paul Ryan met with a number of Wisconsin teenagers who had survived childhood cancer. All of them are nice looking girls, but Whedon acted like Ryan was looking for a wife (he’s married with kids, you imbecile) and that the girls were not good looking enough. Talk about tone deafness, misogyny and just general douche bagginess.
What kind of person slanders young teen girls who have gone through what they’ve endured, just because he doesn’t like Paul Ryan’s politics? Each of these girls has a heart wrenching story of fighting a killer disease like cancer and they beat it. It’s uplifting and a blessing. But not to Whedon, who sees people as nothing more than animals or something that can be sold. It was beyond cruel. I guess he figures he’s so famous and has so much money, he can say anything he wants and get away with it. He can get stuffed.
From The Washington Times:
Hollywood producer-director Joss Whedon judged a group of teenage cancer survivors according to their (lack of) sexual attractiveness in order to take a shot at Republicans.
Mr. Whedon tweeted out a picture of House Speaker Paul D. Ryan meeting some teenagers and said they didn’t measure up in the attractiveness department.
“Tonight on White House Wife Hunt, Donny makes host P. Ryan give 2 more contestants the ‘Not a 10’ card,” tweeted Mr. Whedon, best known as the creator of “Buffy the Vampire Slayer,” “Firefly” and other TV shows and as the director of two “Avengers” movies.
According to Mr. Ryan, who had tweeted out the same picture, the girls were Wisconsin teenagers who “shared some powerful stories with me about their fight against childhood cancer.”
Numerous users on Twitter quickly pounced on Mr. Whedon’s remarks about the girls’ looks, calling them cruel, sexist and more.
“The epitome of misogyny right here. Take a bow, bro,: said female Twitter user “Grace Under Pressure.”
There were other great retorts on Twitter… Franklin Harris had a great point: “Those are cancer survivors. Why do you keep insulting strong women? Is it because people keep asking you that question?” Jay Caruso of the conservative Red State site nailed Whedon’s own looks: “As young cancer survivors they look a hell of a lot better than your Nicole Kidman/Ginger Baker mashup.” And this isn’t the only time that Whedon has been demeaning to women. He makes a habit of it.
“He’s always ready to insult women if they cross sideways of his worldview. Ask Nicole Kidman for starters,” said Will Gregory. In January, Whedon responded to Kidman saying it was time to accept that Donald Trump will be the President, by posting a photo of the blond actress juxtaposed with one of a blond Barbie doll. It was accompanied with the words “Puppets for Trump: Blunderturds are Go!” This guy is something else and a number of people actually ‘liked’ what he said. Anyone saying this crap or ‘liking’ it is disturbed and a waste of a human being. In John Hawkins’ New book, ‘101 Things All Young Adults Should Know’, he teaches in chapter 24 of the book, “Don’t put anything on social media you would be uncomfortable with the whole world seeing.” Evidently, Joss Whedon doesn’t give a crap about that… he’s in it for hurting others and being right. What happened to this guy to make him such a bitter jerk? His hate for President Trump is just unhinged.
