WHOA! Looks like Trump is gaining even more momentum with yet another powerful endorsement that has joined him in his run for President. Did you see this coming?
On Wednesday, as former presidents George W. Bush and his father, George H.W. Bush, said they would not formally endorse Trump, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., decided he would formally support the New York billionaire.
“I have committed to supporting the nominee chosen by Republican voters, and Donald Trump, the presumptive nominee, is now on the verge of clinching that nomination,” McConnell said in a statement, urging others to join him. “As the presumptive nominee, he now has the opportunity and the obligation to unite our party around our goals.”
Trump says he wants to build a bridge to party leaders.
“I’m very much a team player, and I look forward to working with Mitch McConnell and Paul Ryan and Kevin McCarthy and everybody,” Trump said.
