Body of Woman STOLEN From Casket in Broad Daylight at Funeral Home Just After Funeral

25-year-old Julie Mott passed away from cystic fibrosis earlier this month. Her funeral was held on what was supposed to be her 26th birthday, but the day went from sad to tragic when the body of the young woman was stolen out of her casket after her service.

From The Daily Mail:

A grieving family is seeking closure after someone stole their petite daughter’s body out of her casket at a Texas funeral home before she could be cremated following her funeral service.

Julie Mott died earlier this month from cystic fibrosis and the 25-year-old’s body was stolen after her funeral service last Saturday at the Mission Park North Funeral Chapel in San Antonio.

The funeral was held on what would have been the young woman’s 26th birthday.

Staff members at the funeral home discovered that her body was missing the next day and police believe that it was taken within a three-hour window between the conclusion of the service and the end of the business day at the establishment, the New York Daily News reported.

There were no signs of forced entry and no alarms were set off at the home.

The site doesn’t have surveillance cameras so it is unclear how her remains were taken.

San Antonio Police Department Sgt Javier Salazar said: ‘Whoever did it was pretty daring about it.

‘Our No 1 priority, of course, is getting her back to her family.

‘A close second is to find out who the person was who did it and bring them to justice.’

Maybe this is the obvious question but I feel like I must ask it: WHO STEALS A BODY? There is a special place in hell for people who do that.
