Leah Remini May Be Under Fire For Her Position On Scientology, But Someone Special Has Her Back

Leah Remini has been causing quite a stir with folks lately, speaking out against the controversial Church of Scientology and Tom Cruise, and now publishing her new book, ‘Troublemaker’. One would think that this would be taking a pretty big toll on her marriage, but the one person who should have her back through this all, does:

When Leah Remini was considering leaving the Church of Scientology, she was prepared for the possibility of losing the people she cared most about, including her husband. Since then, however, she has learned that she didn’t need to worry after all.

As the Daily Mail reports, actress Leah Remini has spoken out about everything that led to her break with Scientology, from her issues with Tom Cruise and his wedding with Katie Holmes, to the way that Scientology often worked to break up families. That knowledge made her decision even more difficult.

“I’m ready to walk away from everybody that I’ve ever known and cut ties with my own husband, my own mother, because you don’t know what they’re going to decide,” said Remini, describing her thoughts at the time. “Very often, my experience is people choose the Church.”

Remini had plenty of reason to fear that would happen to her. The recent wedding of Isabella Cruise—to which adoptive mother Nicole Kidman was not invited—demonstrates how leaving Scientology can mean being alienated from your nearest and dearest.

Remini soon learned that she wasn’t going to lose her loved ones when she left Scientology. Her entire family, including her mother and husband, left with her and have been vocal about their support.

As Remini has been gaining more attention as a critic of Cruise and Scientology, her husband, Angelo Pagan has been cheering her on.

As the actress tells all—good and bad—about her past in the memoir, “Troublemaker: Surviving Hollywood and Scientology”, there’s one person who wants her to know how proud he is. Pagan recently posted a picture of himself and daughter Sofia, explaining that Remini was off on an important mission.

It’s so sweet and supportive of her husband to be there for her. For better or for worse, he took those to heart, and Leah is on lucky lady.
