Orwellian: ESPN Edits Documentaries To Cut Their Former Conservative Commentator Curt Schilling Out

Curt Schilling was recently fired from his position at ESPN. Why? Because he dared to question the ethics of allowing grown men to shower with little girls as a matter of “civil rights.” Not only was he fired, but the Orwellian propagandists at the sports organization have purged Schilling from a 2004 documentary.

Specifically, Schilling’s “bloody sock” game was removed from a re-airing of ESPN’s 30 for 30 about the Red Sox’s triumphant 2004 season.

The Hollywood Reporter writes:

Schilling’s performance in the 2004 American League Championship Series, when his Red Sox ultimately beat the Yankees to advance to the World Series, was not a part of the documentary “Four Days In October.” Schilling’s sock became bloody during the victorious game when sutures on his ankle became irritated.

On Sunday night, Schilling cried foul over what he saw as a slap in the face stemming from the fact that he was recently fired by the network over a controversial social media post.

Yes, the repeated episode was edited, but for time, not out of spite, ESPN said in a statement.

“When a live event runs long, it’s standard procedure to shorten a taped program that follows. In this case, we needed to edit out 1 of the film’s 4 segments to account for the extra length of the softball game,” ESPN said in the statement.

Schilling was fired from ESPN after reposting an anti-transgender meme on his Facebook wall, an act he has since defended.  In a recent radio interview, he blasted the network for housing some of the “biggest racist” in sports newscasting.

Schilling offended the gods of political correctness and now he must pay the price. The price, apparently, is being erased from history.

That seems like a totally level-headed, appropriate and not-at-all creepy response to Schilling announcing his political perspective….
