Losing a child is one of if not THE worst thing you can have happen, especially when the child is only just over a year old. Jennifer Tiner didn’t want the loss of her daughter Isabella to be in vain, especially when she knew it could help someone else

And after Bella felt that “it was her time to go,” Jennifer decided to help other children in Bella’s honor, by donating her breast milk to Mothers’ Breast Milk of North Texas.

That’s how Jennifer met Dekevyon and his mother, Detra Chappell.

Dekevyon was born 28-weeks premature. The nurses told Detra that breast milk would work best to ensure his survival, and that any amount she could give to her son would help. But Detra’s body just couldn’t produce enough milk.

She wanted to stay anonymous, but agreed to meet Detra so that she could meet the woman who saved her son’s life. The two families have since celebrated Dekevyon’s birthday and christening together!
