Marylin Zuniga was suspended without pay last month after her third grade class in Orange penned letters to Mumia Abu-Jamal, who is serving a life sentence for shooting dead Philadelphia police officer Daniel Faulkner in 1981.

Zuniga told board members she had the ‘community behind’ her as she fought to keep her job at Forest Hill Elementary during the Orange Board of Education meeting on Tuesday night.

‘There’s people around the nation who support me, who believe I need to be reinstated and I believe I need to be reinstated,’ she said, according to NJ.com.

She says her students need her.  I say her students need a teacher who isn’t this clueless.
