Obama’s Play

If only Bush had listened to rightwing pundits the way Obama listens to leftwing pundits. Then maybe he wouldn’t have spent our money like a drunken Democrat, or tried so hard to compromise with Democrats who had no interest in compromise.

First the pundits assail Obama for not coming to the region being hit the worst by the oil spill. Obama then goes back twice. Then the pundits are critical of the fact that Obama didn’t spend time with the local people. Obama goes back and spends time with the local people. Finally the pundits wring him for not showing enough emotion or for not getting angry enough. So Obama then decides to use a cuss word to prove he really really is mad about this.

“I don’t sit around just talking to experts because this is a college seminar, we talk to these folks because they potentially have the best answers, so I know whose a** to kick.”

Sometimes I feel like we are just watching a play. A carefully scripted play that changes in each act, depending on how the left is reacting to it. Instead of the thoughtful Obama, we get the tough Obama because that is what the script calls for.

Why is the President responding to every criticism ? Because a new Washington Post poll shows that 69% of Americans are critical of the federal government’s response to the oil spill. That compares with a 62% negative rating for the government’s response to Katrina in August of 2005.

A president who needs to ask whose a** to kick in this matter is a president who is not informed or aware enough to do even that.

Even Democrat’s own Charlie Rangel thinks Obama “doesn’t have a clue.”
