What’s So Audacious About Hope In America?

There are a lot of things not to like about Barack Obama’s run at the presidency. He’s extremely liberal, he’s way too inexperienced to be running for the presidency, and his campaign thus far has mostly been fluff (It’s all about his being charismatic and the first black man to have a shot at winning the presidency, not issues).

But, if you want to see what an incredible phony this guy is, just look at the title of his book, “The Audacity of Hope: Thoughts on Reclaiming the American Dream.

In all seriousness, what’s so audacious about being hopeful in a great country like America, that gives people more opportunities to improve their lot in life than any other nation? Yet, this guy is writing a book that makes it sound like it’s bold to be hopeful — where does he think he is? Somalia? Sudan?

It reminds me of the deluded liberals who are always yammering about “telling the truth to power,” as if they’re living in a police state where they’ll be arrested for criticizing the President or members of Congress, instead of a free nation like the United States.

The truth is that there is nothing audacious about being hopeful in the United States of America and anybody who thinks that there is probably doesn’t have the right mentality to be President.
