Putin Issues Order For Russians Living Abroad to Fly Home – Citizens Reacting In Fear [VIDEO]

There have been concerns that Vladimir Putin has plans to rebuild the USSR. His aggression towards Ukraine and other Baltic countries certainly lends credibility to this fear. Meanwhile, Putin has been interfering with Syria, accused of committing war crimes, has moved nuclear-capable missiles closer to the border with Poland and worsened relations with the United States. There’s a lot to be concerned about when it comes to Russia, for sure. But a new order from Putin has a lot of people even more scared.

Russian President Vladimir Putin gestures as he speaks during a meeting with journalists after a live broadcast nationwide call-in in Moscow

The Kremlin has reportedly told all high-ranking officials to fly their relatives back home to Russia immediately. They were told to return to the “Motherland” right away, or risk punishment. Putin has also cancelled scheduled visits to France.

It’s not just Westerners warning about Putin’s dangerous behavior, either. Former USSR leader Mikhail Gorbachev issued an ominous warning, saying that the world is reaching a “dangerous point” due to the building tensions between Russia and the United States. Stanislav Belkovsky, a Russian political analyst, also chimed in, saying, “This is all part of the package of measures to prepare elites to some ‘big war’.”

Putin is not just ordering people to return to Russia. According to Valery Solovei, another political analyst, Putin is putting together a plan to prevent people from leaving, too. “Officials of all levels and their relatives will be recommended not to leave the country,” he said. “As soon as officials are limited in their freedom of travel, they will make sure the rest of society gets the same treatment. As far as I know a tourist tax will be introduced for people wishing to go abroad.”

A journalist has also been sounding the alarm. Ostap Karmodi said, “First siloviki (security personnel) were prohibited from going abroad, then high-ranking officials were asked to sell foreign houses, close their companies and shut (overseas) bank accounts. Now they are ordered to bring children back. The only strange thing is that it didn’t happen earlier. This is, of course, a preparation to war.” He added, “Not in a sense that Putin is getting ready to a nuclear strike at America and Europe. They believe that the war against Russia started a long time ago. By moving everything they can back into Russia they try to minimise their vulnerability and clean up their own ranks to get rid of unstable elements. Children are the most vulnerable, they mustn’t let the West to take hostages.”

Blogger Ilya Viceman also believes this could be a pretext to war. “This is not yet an order to ‘bring everyone back within 24 hours to Russia’ but a firm request from the presidential administration which would be so hard to refuse,” Viceman wrote. “This is not war, of course, but another small step towards it. This is also an insurance against escape of the most knowledgeable state servants abroad – with their families in Russia, control will remain with the state.”

It seems that it’s more important than ever to ensure that the right person becomes president. In the wrong hands, this situation could easily explode.
