Restaurant Owner Refused Service to Those Who Believe in Right to Bear Arms

As we have seen repeatedly (see here, here, here, here, here, etc.), businesses are required to place their stamp of approval not only on homosexuality but on homosexual marriage. Our constitutionally protected right to bear arms is another matter:

Anne Verrill, owner of two Portland [Maine]-area restaurants, wrote on Facebook that anyone who owns—or even supports an individual’s right to own—an AR-15 semi-automatic rifle, may “no longer enter either of my restaurants, because the only thing I want to teach my children is love.”

Some people teach their children love by demonstrating a willingness to defend them.

Unlike Christians who have faced economic ruin rather than comply with commands to participate in blasphemous parodies of wedding ceremonies, Ms. Verrill appears to lack the courage of her convictions:

The post was deleted after a bunch of people on the internet who like guns found out about it and wrote mean things and threatened to boycott.

I wonder if she had planned to have waitresses grill customers on their constitutional views before taking their orders.
